2.Public (FRS radio):
409-410MHz, only this band is open and free to use.
The Ministry of Information Industry of China announced the opening of the
FRS radio market on December 6, 2001. The open frequency band is 409-410MHz, which is divided into 20 channels, called "public channels". Since most
handheld radios do not have these channels preset, they must be manually adjusted to the corresponding frequency to achieve interoperability. ( The frequency band used by amateur radio stations in the 400M band is 430MHz-440MHz, but many
handheld radios can be adjusted to 409-410MHz)
Most FRS radios also have sub-tone squelch (CTCSS) function. When the walkie-talkie and the handheld radio communicate, the sub-tone squelch can be canceled (the squelch channel can be adjusted to 0)
